  • Jute Hervest

  • The jute is sown in march or april and it is then harvested in any time between 120 to 150 days. The plant grows from 8 to 12 feet high. Jute requires a warm and humid climate with temperature between 24° C to 37° C.
  • Retting

  • In traditional method bundles of jute are steeped in water at least 60 cm to 100 cm depth for retting. This process is completed in 8 to 30 days.
  • Fibre Extraction

  • Now fibres are extracted from the stalk after the completion of retting.
  • Washing and Drying

  • Extracted fibres are washed in clean water. After squeezing excess water the fibres are hang for sun drying for 2-3 days.
  • Ready for Industrial processing

  • The jute fibre is graded based on quality, and go through long Spinning and Weaving process for finish product. Processing differs based on desired product.
  • Finished Goods

  • After Spinning and Weaving, different types of jute cloth produced for different purpose. Jute Geo-Textile requires different processing.
