Jute-based hessian bags and gunny bags are ideal for transporting and storing heavier produces in bulk quantities. One bag can be reused several times. The fiber of the cloth absorbs extra moisture from the produce and environment, holds by itself, and maintains humidity. Jute contains no proteins, thus it cannot support insect life, protecting cargo from mold, fungus, or infestation during transit. This packaging keeps the product in the best possible condition for a longer time. The capacity of these bags varies from 20 to 80 kg depends on the size.
There are two standard sizes of gunny bags widely used worldwide one is Standard Binola, size 44”X26.5” shorter proter 6X7, weight 907 g. Both food grade and non-food grade is available.
another one is Standard B-Twill, size 44”X26.5” shorter porter 6X8, weight 1020 g. Bothe food grade and non-food grade are available. However, the sizes and specifications of the bags are always customizable. Price varies on multiple conditions i.e. size, shorter & porter, count of yarn, branding requirements, quantity in relation to freight charges, and finally the raw jute price on the market.
